Can I use CarDefender if I already have a car alarm installed? Yes. Although a car alarm may not protect your vehicle it may help protect any valuables you leave inside your car. CarDefender works great in conjunction with any car alarm as an additional and separate layer of protection.
Is five seconds enough time to allow me start my vehicle? Yes. Although five seconds does not sound like a lot of time it actually is more than sufficient to start your vehicle.
Can I use CarDefender on a vehicle other than a car? Yes. CarDefender can be used on any vehicle that has an electronic component that is required to run the engine. You simply disable that component. We have installed CarDefender in work trucks, motorhomes, sandbuggys, boats, even Harley Davidsons & Honda Goldwings. This includes everything from vehicles with points and condenser to electronic ignition to fully computer controled vehicles.

I want to purchase CarDefender, but I am incapable of installing the system myself. What can I do? Any experienced mechanic is capable of installing CarDefender. The provided instructions are easy to read and very concise. Rates will vary but you should expect to pay for 1or 2 hours of labor.
What if my CarDefender malfunctions? We have yet to have a unit fail. Each unit is hand tested by a technician before shipping. In the unlikely event of a failure, you would need to remove the controller from it's connector and insert the "by-pass plug" that is provided with every unit. This will allow you to run your vehicle until you can receive a new controller from CarDefender. NOTE! Your vehicle will NOT be protected when using the by-pass plug.
What happens if I lose one of my Transponder keys ? CarDefender offers replacement Transponder keys for $29.95 each +Shipping. (Note) orders outside the U.S.A. will require added shipping charges.
What if I need to change my Transponder key code? Simply remove the controller & insert the by-pass plug, send the controller to CarDefender we will erase the old code & supply you with new transponder key with a new code, the cost for this is $29.95.per transponder key+ shipping. ( outside U.S.A. require additional shipping charges ). NOTE! Your vehicle will NOT be protected when using the by-pass plug.
